On May 30th, the Foster Angels Fishing Captains will be holding the “Caleb Derrick Virtual Fishing Trip” for Foster Angels of Central Texas in lieu of our annual fishing trip with the 25 youth in Port Aransas this year. 

The purpose of this fishing trip is to provide a special weekend experience for some foster youth in Port Aransas each year. For some this is their first time on a vacation, for others, this is their first-time fishing or seeing the ocean.  It’s an incredible experience not only for the youth but for our captains who have the opportunity to bond with the youth in a meaningful way. 

This year, we are asking the community to support this trip in a different way, through a fishing photo contest.

How to Enter:

• Make a minimum donation of $100 to Foster Angels of Central Texas
• Once you’ve made your donation to enter, send your best fishing photo to maggie@fosterangelsctx.org. Think photos of big fish, kids fishing, prettiest fish, etc.
• The person who sends in the best photo will win a $500 cash prize sponsored by Flynn Construction. 
• Details on voting and joining the virtual fishing trip on May 30 will be sent to the email used to make your donation.

Caleb Derrick lost his battle with cancer last week and we want to honor and pray for his wife Sarah and their family through this effort. Caleb was the son in law of Thom Farrell, whose family has been the lead sponsor of the Foster Angels Fishing Trip for the past 5 years.
