Applicants for the scholarship must:
- Reside in and attend an accredited public, post-secondary education program in Texas. Post-secondary education programs are defined as any accredited vocational or trade schools, two year colleges, or four year universities.
- Applicants must be a current/former youth who experienced foster care.
- Applicants must be 26 years of age or younger at time of application
- Applicants must have completed high school or obtained a GED
- Applicants must be accepted into an accredited post-secondary program with the intent to enroll in a minimum of part time status
- Applicants must remain in good academic standing
- Applicants must send proof of FAFSA application (if eligible)
- Applicants must be willing to commit to participating in a mentoring program, and a minimum of quarterly check-ins with Foster Angels of Central Texas Program Director.
- Applicants must submit at least one letter of recommendation from a teacher, mentor, counselor, supervisor, caseworker or other professionals.

All applications must be completed and submitted by May 16th, 2025 by 5pm CST. No incomplete applications will be considered. Information about how the letter of recommendation can be submitted will be shared after your online application is submitted. Scholarship award amounts will be determined based on thoughtfulness and effort, financial need, and your current enrollment status for your program. Scholarship award recipients will receive differing amounts based on full or part time enrollment status.
