Every year we put on one of the most special celebrations to honor the CPS caseworkers that make our job possible. Unfortunately, we couldn’t throw a big in-person party this year while successfully being able to social distance. After considering many different ways we could safely celebrate these incredible people, we decided to let them decide! So we got VISA gift cards for every single CPS work unit that makes up the entire 30-county service area for Central Texas. Some units have shared they will go to a small picnic our gift cards are sponsoring or to a team-building activity! We can’t wait to see how these extremely deserving caseworkers enjoy our small tokens of appreciation.
Supervisors for each unit stopped by our office Thursday, March 31 to pick up the cards and enjoy coffee + donuts! With the pickup being so close to Easter, we also had generous donors from The Williams Team Real Estate that made beautiful Easter baskets for some of the kiddos we serve, so many caseworkers also got to pick those up to deliver before the holiday.
It is such an honor to show our genuine appreciation for CPS caseworkers who especially in the last year have put their lives on the line to ensure children in foster care are safe and cared for. We are so thankful to work with them everyday to be a part of ensuring the needs of children in foster care are being met.
